Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy spells out how we may collect, use, and disclose your information. We are very careful with what we do with your information. This policy also describes the steps we take to keep your information secure, and explains your options regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information. Our policy may change at anytime.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature.

When ordering or registering, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

We also collect information about gift recipients so that we can fulfill the gift purchase. The information we collect about gift recipients is not used for marketing purposes.

Like many websites, we use “cookies” to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to our websites. Please refer to the “Do we use ‘cookies’?” section below for information about cookies and how we use them.

We collect two categories of information:

  • Personal, which is information that is specific to you. This may include your name, phone number, email and mailing address, and credit card information.
  • Aggregate, which is general demographic information that does not specify any individual. Some of this demographic information is optional, such as income, age, and gender. We may use or disclose aggregate information for any purpose; however, we will not disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent.

By visiting our site, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This policy only applies to our site, and we are not responsible for any sites to which our site links or that link to our site.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, purchase products, enter a contest or promotion, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

To personalize your site experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.

To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.

To quickly process your transactions.

To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature.

Let you know of new information, services or products that might interest you

Make it easier for you to navigate the site, since you only have to enter your information once.

While we use your personal information primarily to process your membership order and to provide you with excellent customer service, we may also use it to improve our site’s layout and content, determine information about visitors to our site, and to improve our outreach and marketing efforts.

If you are a member or have opted-in to receive our e-mail newsletter, we may send you periodic e-mails. If you would no longer like to receive promotional e-mail from us, please refer to the “How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?” section below. If you have not opted-in to receive e-mail newsletters, you will not receive these e-mails. Visitors who register or participate in other site features such as marketing programs and ‘members-only’ content will be given a choice whether they would like to be on our e-mail list and receive e-mail communications from us. However, you cannot opt out of receiving emails related to your orders or subscription to SisterBuzz.

When you sign up for our products or services we will ask you to complete an online registration form. This form may ask for your:

  • Name

  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Credit card number

We may also ask for your country of residence, in order to comply with your country’s laws and regulations.

We use information on the registration form for internal marketing purposes, billing purposes, and to help us fulfill your order quickly and correctly. The information will also help us to contact you if there are any problems with your order.

We may have several pages on the site that ask for your email address. We may ask you for this information to register you for promotions or to let you know about special offers, products, or contests. Participation in contests is completely voluntary. You may choose not to participate and disclose information to us. We use the information provided to notify contest winners and award prizes, and we would typically also post the names and cities of contest winners on our website and/or social media pages. We may also use your information to communicate with you regarding service-related announcements regarding maintenance of our site.

How do we protect visitor information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted to be only accessed as stated above.

We also work hard to protect your information in our facilities. For example:

Only employees who need access to your personal information for a specific purpose will have that access. These employees are required to follow specific procedures concerning its proper handling, and are held to strict confidentiality requirements.

Any third parties we retain to provide a service (such as analyzing data, shipping, etc.) are not authorized to use your personal information beyond providing that service.

Despite our safeguards, 100% complete security cannot be guaranteed. While a compromise in security is unlikely, we may notify you if a compromise does occur. We would do this as soon as possible, and may use your email to do so.

Do we use “cookies”?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business. You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Chrome or Internet Explorer) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you may not have access to many features that make your site experience more efficient and some of our services may not function properly.

Cookies from our site are not spyware, cookies do not and cannot infiltrate your hard drive to gather confidential information. Cookies are simply small pieces of information that are stored as text files by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Web beacons help our site to deliver cookies and also tell us how many times a page on our site has been viewed.

Log Files

As with most web sites, SisterBuzz automatically recognizes the internet URL you use to access the site. Your internet service provider and your IP address may also be logged (an IP, or “internet protocol” address, may indicate the location of your computer on the internet). SisterBuzz may log a date/time stamp for system administration and trouble shooting, internal marketing, and order verification.

Age of User

We will not intentionally collect personal information from children under age 13. If you are under the age of 13, we ask that you do not submit any personal information to us, and ask a parent or guardian for help.

Elsewhere on this site, you have represented and warranted that you are either using the site with parental supervision, or that you are at least 18 years of age.

Do we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?

We do not sell, rent, trade, license, or otherwise disclose your personally identifiable information to outside parties, except to:

  • Service providers that function on our behalf, such as third parties that may deliver our products to you, such as the U.S. Postal Service, Federal Express, other electronic delivery services, and United Parcel Service. These service providers must be provided information on your name, shipping address, email, and phone number.
  • Financial services corporations such as credit card processors and issuers, in order to help you purchase your new women’s lingerie. When we do submit your credit card for authorization, however, we use state-of-the-art data encryption to protect your information.
  • Law enforcement officials conducting an investigation, issuing subpoenas or court orders.

We will also release information when it is necessary to protect our legal rights or to enforce our terms of use or other agreements. For example, it may be necessary to disclose information to reduce the risk of fraud on our site.

The term “outside parties” does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. In the event that SisterBuzz is acquired by another company, or dispose of some or all of its assets, or merge with another company, your personal information may be disclosed. However, that disclosure will still be subject to this privacy policy.

How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?

To modify your e-mail subscriptions, please let us know by modifying your preferences in the “My Account” section. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production. To delete all of your online account information from our database, sign into the “My Account” section of our site and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses & payment information. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping. You may also call us or email us with your request. Our information is provided below. Please do not email your credit card number or other sensitive information.

In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

When we do need to store information collected offline, we do so in a secure database. Regardless of how you choose to communicate with us, we treat on- and offline information with your security in mind.

Lead Communication

You may receive an email from us because a friend of yours may be inviting you to join SisterBuzz. If you choose to not sign up for membership, we may retain your email address for a period of time.

We may also have your email information because your loved one and/or one of our members sent a gift to you and so provided your information to us.
